PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical sheet the transferring original plate of which is fabricated easily and reproducibly, which hardly decreases the brightness of backlight and in which the occurrence of an optical defect due to interference fringes caused by a gap between sheets or close adhesion of sheets can be decreased and to provide a light source using the optical sheet. SOLUTION: At least one of a prism structure 8, a lens structure and a lenticular structure is formed on one surface of a base material 13 for the optical sheet and a rugged shape 15 having fixed height and a periodic array is formed on the other surface of the base material 13.
