PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive method of manufacturing an optical fiber array with half-pitch in which curvature of primary coated optical fiber arrays is small. SOLUTION: The method comprises: a first step for arraying a plurality of primary coated optical fibers to an primary coated optical fiber arraying to a fixture; a second step for tentatively fixing the primary coated optical fibers to a tentative fixing substrate by contacting the side of a tentative fixing resin material of the tentative fixing substrate to which a tentative fixing resin material is applied to the arrayed primary coated optical fibers; a third step for fixing the tentatively fixed primary coated optical fibers to an optical fiber fixing substrate via a fixing resin material; a fourth step for separating the tentative fixing substrate 1 from the primary coated optical fibers 4 together with the tentative fixing resin material 2; and a fifth step for fixing a cover board 8 to the side where the tentative fixing substrate of the primary coated optical fibers is separated, via a reinforcing resin material 7. The method is characterized in that when the reinforcing resin material 7 in the fifth step is hardened, the resin material 7 in a region 9 situated outside the arraying direction of the primary coated optical fibers 4 is with priority and then, the resin material 7 in a region 10 in contact with the primary coated optical fiber 4 array is cured.
