PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting member for measure tape as a ranging device which can be worked accurately only by one person. SOLUTION: In this mounting member for measure tape an intermediate frame 46 is connected so as to be freely detachable to a vertical direction adjuster 40 via a descending weight 44; a rotating spindle 52 having the head of a spindle large-diameter section 53 is suspended on bottom of the above intermediate frame 46; and a holding part 50 for measure tape is connected to the rotating spindle 52. The holding part 50 consists of a holding frame 51 for measure tape with a U-shaped cross section, one or two clamp screws 55 for measure tape with a fastening board 56 are furnished on the upper surface of the U-shaped cross section; while the lower surface of the U-shaped cross section is provided with yarn guide protrusion 58, a yarn hole 54 is furnished on a yarn groove 57 and on a back wall behind the yarn groove 57, and further, a yarn stopper 59 on the backside of the back wall.
