A method of operating an online recruitment management site, such as an e mployment recruitment site, includes the steps of capturing information of r eference providers provided by a candidate and sending the reference provide rs an invite to accept to be reference providers for the candidate. After th e reference providers accept the invitation and verify their information, th eir names and information are automatically added to the candidate's profile for potential recruiters, e.g. employers, to view. The reference providers also have the opportunity to enter evaluations regarding the candidate on th e site. The reference providers' evaluations are readily and conveniently av ailable for the recruiters to view and assess the candidate's suitability fo r the recruited position during their initial screening and selection period . After the reference providers have accepted or declined to be reference pr oviders for the candidate, the site invites the reference providers to parti cipate as candidates or recruiters on the site. To participate as candidates , the reference providers may register their CV. or search job opportunities on the site. To participate as recruiters, they may post job openings or se arch for candidates who have registered on the site.
