PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device for a scooter type vehicle capable of suppressing a space required for accommodating displacement of each part during oscillation of a power unit. SOLUTION: In the intake device for the scooter type vehicle, an engine and a power transmission device where a cylinder axis line is approximately horizontally disposed are integrally assembled to compose a swing unit. An intake passage 58 from a throttle body 55 just above a cylinder part and an intake port 38 of the upper side of the cylinder part to a combustion chamber 37 is a U-shape opening toward the base end side of the cylinder part in side view, and an injector 59 for injecting fuel into the intake passage 58 is incliningly disposed at the portion opposite to the cylinder part of the throttle body 55.
