摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit large electric power at a lower voltage with less characteristic deterioration, enabling excitation with stress close to the breakdown limit stress of a piezoelectric material with small input/output impedance, enabling easy control. SOLUTION: In the piezoelectric transformer, opposite pair of drive electrodes 1a and 1b are formed over the entire width, holding a piezoelectric rectangular plate 10 therebetween, in substantially a central unit in a lengthwise direction of the piezoelectric rectangular plate 10 which consists of piezoelectric ceramics and is polarized in the length direction. A lead-out electrodes 2, 3 are led from the pair of driving electrodes 1a and 1b to different ends in a longitudinal direction of the piezoelectric rectangular plate 10, and each of which is connected to one input electrode 4a and the other output electrode 5b, thus forming the other input electrode 4b and one output electrode 5a, facing the one input electrode 4a and the other output electrode 5b.
