PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect intensity distribution of X-rays or particle rays at high spatial resolution. SOLUTION: A scintillator fiber bundle transduces the X-rays or particle rays into light detectable by a photoelectric detector. The output light from the scintillator fiber bundle is connected to a high-quality photoelectric detector in a matching manner, thereby obtaining a high-quality image signal.
