PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical body which prevents winding tightening of fiber even when the fiber is wound around the cylindrical body and stored for a long period, is not broken even when vibration occurs during transportation and is suitable for winding up large amount of thin fiber, and an acrylic fiber package preventing winding collapse and winding tightness and having excellent storage stability and transportation resistance. SOLUTION: In this cylindrical body for winding up fiber, when acrylic fiber is wound around the cylindrical body by 4×10<SP>-5</SP>kg/dtex so as to form a package shape and is left to stand for three days in this state, the maximum deformation ratio of inner diameter of a cylindrical body central part is set to be 0.1 to 1%.
