PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedal opening container which allows an upper container body to be deeply inserted in a lower container body in vertically overlaying the two container bodies. SOLUTION: This foot openable container includes a container body 1 having an opening at the upper end, a lid part 2 for opening and closing the opening and connected rotatively to the container body 1, a pedal 3 for rotating the lid part 2 and a link 4 which has a recessed cross-section and connects the pedal 3 and the lid part 2. The outer peripheral face of the container body 1 has an outer peripheral recess 1e which is extended in the height direction of the container body 1 disposed with the link 4. The inner peripheral face of the container body 1 is formed with an inner peripheral protrusion extended in the height direction of the container body 1 and corresponds to the recess 1e. The width of the link 4 increases toward the outside from the inside in its width direction, and the outer face of the link 4 is directed toward the inner face side of the recess 1e.
