The valve has a channel (2) guiding a cooling agent and arranged before an evaporator (4) in a flow direction of the agent. An opening of the channel is changed by an adjustment of a valve slide (7). Another channel (3) is arranged after the evaporator in the flow direction of the agent. A lengthwise movable valve rod (6) is arranged between the channels and is accommodated in areas of the channels at respective control units (9, 10). The control units have an expansion in the movement direction of the rod, where the expansion is based on temperature of the agent in the respective channels.
