The method involves forming a gap between an electrode (1) and an object made of an electrical conductive material, in which an electrolyte solution flows. The electrode with an electrochemical machining active area (2) and an electrochemical machining inactive area (31) are used for providing a laminar flow of the electrolyte solution in the gap between the electrochemical machining active range of the electrode and the object. An independent claim is also included for an electrode for electro-chemical processing an object made of electrical conductive material.
