A device for supplying detergent and a washing machine thereof are provided to prevent wash water supplied to a detergent keeping chamber, from being inserted into a washing chamber wrongly in a washing process except a normal rinsing agent insertion step. A device for supplying detergent comprises a supply case(70), a detergent keeping chamber(83,84), and a rinsing agent keeping chamber(85), a detergent keeping case(80), and a water supply cover(90). The detergent keeping case is combined with the supply case. The water supply cover is connected with the detergent keeping case to supply wash water to the detergent keeping case. The water supply cover includes a blocking rib(97). The blocking rib is positioned at a lower part of the water supply cover to prevent the wash water at the lower part of the water supply cover from moving to the rinsing agent keeping chamber. Length of the blocking rib is longer than width of the rinsing agent keeping chamber. A discharge port is positioned at one side of the water supply cover to discharge the wash water at an upper part of the water supply cover. The blocking rib is positioned between the discharge port and the rinsing agent keeping chamber. |
