<p>A method of producing a pneumatic tire, which, when a thermoplastic resin film is used as an air permeation prevention layer, prevents occurrence of blisters caused by trapped air, and particularly, a method suitable for producing a pneumatic tire for heavy loading. In the method, the thermoplastic resin film (6) is coated on a forming drum (20), and an unvulcanized tie-rubber sheet (7) is wound around the thermoplastic resin film (6). After that, a winding start portion and a winding end portion are spliced together, and then a carcass layer is wound around the tie-rubber sheet (7). The splice of the tie-rubber sheet (7) is a butt splice,and an unvulcanized auxiliary rubber sheet (9) is interposed between the tie-rubber sheet (7) and the thermoplastic resin film (6), along the joint (7c) of the butt splice.</p> |
