<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of scanning lines of an image display device provided with a threshold voltage correction function and to improve a yield. <P>SOLUTION: Scanner sections 4, 5, 7 scan a pixel circuit 2 by every sequential line by supplying a control signal to a plurality of scanning lines including horizontal scanning lines WS and vertical scanning lines DS. As a preparation to correct the influence of a threshold voltage Vth of a drive transistor Trd, a first switching transistor Tr2 is conducted according to a control signal supplied from the scanner section to set the gate G of a drive transistor Trd at a first reference potential Vss1 and a second switching transistor Tr3 likewise sets the source S at a second reference potential vss2. One of the first and second switching transistors is operated by accepting the control signal from the scanner 4 via the horizontal scanning line WSn-1 belonging to the line previous to this line (n), and thereby the scanning line to be disposed in one of the first and second switching transistors is commonly used in the horizontal scanning lines WS. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
