PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graft polymer useful as a cement additive excellent in workability, and the like, to provide a cement additive, and to provide a method for producing the graft polymer. SOLUTION: This graft polymer obtained by addition-polymerizing an alkylene oxide in an amount exceeding the equivalent of the active hydrogen atoms of active hydrogen-containing amino groups to the active hydrogen-containing amino groups contained in a polyalkyleneimine and then graft-polymerizing an unsaturated monomer to the obtained polyether chain. It is preferable that the graft polymerization is carried out using an acidic catalyst in a state substantially free from a solvent. The obtained graft polymer has a high graft polymerization property and excellent cement dispersibility, can be used as a cement additive, and can be added to a cement composition.
