PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a favorable manufacturing method for a clad tube, and to consistently obtain a clad tube having a skin material of the uniform thickness which is capable of enhancing the soundness in a joined part of an outer skin material, and increasing the corrosion resistance and the strength. SOLUTION: A cylindrical outer skin material 4 obtained by bending a plate of a material different from a material of a core 2 in a cylindrical shape, and having a non-continuous cylindrical shape by the presence of a butted portion 6 extending in the axial direction is placed over an outer circumferential surface of a cylindrical core 2, and subjected to the friction stirring and joining along the butted portion 6. Thus, after manufacturing a compound billet 10, the obtained compound billet 10 is extruded by a mandrel to form a clad tube having the intended outside diameter in which a cylindrical core layer constituted of an extrusion layer of the core 2 and a cylindrical outer skin layer constituted of an extrusion layer of the outer skin material 4 are integrally stuck as a layer consisting of different materials.
