PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly produce a video program where immediacy is demanded. SOLUTION: A viewer window generates an event by determining an edit point, while viewing a video image of a supplied source material. A log window displays a clip image concerning the event set in the view window. A program window makes a program list, by arranging a plurality of events on a time line in the desired order. A fader assign dialog, for assigning audio fader provided at an audio only controller, is displayed for audio tracks of respective events arranged on the time line, and levels of respective audio tracks of the event are controlled, based on information set in the fader assign dialog.
