PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid detergent composition which is gentle to the skin etc., is excellent in foamability and quick-foaming property, provides a creamy foam texture and shows a good processability in kneading, extrusion, etc. at manufacturing. SOLUTION: The solid detergent contains an acylisethionate and a fatty acid alkali metal salt. Fatty acids composing the fatty acid alkali metal salt are lauric acid, myristic acid and palmitic acid, totally accounting for≥80 mass%. Lauric acid, myristic acid and palmitic acid account for 15-60 mass%, 20-70 mass% and 5-50 mass%, respectively, of the total mass of the three fatty acids. By choosing an appropriate combination of the acylisethionate and the fatty acid alkali metal salt and the kinds and proportions of the fatty acids composing the fatty acid alkali metal salt, the mild solid detergent which is excellent in foamability and quick-foaming property and shows a good processability can be obtained.
