The present invention relates to compounds of formula I and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts wherein formula I is: wherein X, Y, Z, R¹ and R² are as defined in the description and claims. The compounds of the present invention act as antagonists and/or inverse agonists at the histamine 3 receptor and are useful for the treatment and/or prevention of diseases such as obesity, metabolic syndrome (syndrome X), and other eating disorders.
