An optical fiber holding device is provided which is excellent in holding performance and heat radiation performance related to an optical fiber for a fiber laser, and can eliminate abnormal light effectively, and a fiber laser processing apparatus is provided to improve processing quality and productivity by reducing the degradation and damage of an optical fiber. In an optical fiber holding device(70,72) which has a core and holds an optical fiber, the optical fiber holding device is characterized in that the core contains a light emitting element, the optical fiber receives excitation light for exciting the core at an end face of the fiber, and the optical fiber holding device comprises: a holder body(78) having a holding groove(80) that holds an end portion of the optical fiber; and a presser member made of a material having a refractive index larger than that of the optical fiber, wherein the presser member presses the end portion of the optical fiber from an upper side of the holding groove. The optical fiber holding device comprises a spring member that applies a pressing force to the presser member. The optical fiber holding device comprises a spring pressure adjusting unit(100) for adjusting a spring force of the spring member. The holder body has a screw hole(98) formed above the holding groove, the spring pressure adjusting unit has a bolt screwed into the screw hole from the upper side, and the spring member has a compressive coil spring(102) disposed between a lower surface of the bolt and an upper surface of the presser member.
