<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating organic matter-containing waste water, in which organic matter-containing waste water can be treated effectively, it is not necessary to withdraw sludge to the outside and treat the withdrawn sludge and consequently the volume of waste sludge can be reduced satisfactorily. <P>SOLUTION: The method for treating organic matter-containing waste water comprises: a flow rate adjustment step 1 of adjusting the flow rate of the organic matter-containing waste water kept in an aerobic atmosphere; a microaerobic microbial treatment steps 2, 3 of treating the flow rate-adjusted waste water with a microbe in a microaerobic atmosphere; a sludge precipitation step 4 for separating the waste water obtained at the microaerobic microbial treatment steps into sludge and a supernatant liquid by precipitation in an anaerobic atmosphere; a sludge concentration step 5 for concentrating the sludge obtained at the sludge precipitation step and precipitating the concentrated sludge in the anaerobic atmosphere; a microaerobic sludge digestion step 6 of digesting the sludge treated at the sludge concentration step in the microaerobic atmosphere; and a supernatant liquid storage step 7 for recovering the supernatant liquid obtained at the microaerobic sludge digestion step and storing the recovered supernatant liquid in the microaerobic atmosphere. The sludge obtained at the sludge precipitation step is returned to the microaerobic microbial treatment steps and the supernatant liquid from the sludge concentration step is returned to the flow rate adjustment step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
