<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain preferable image gloss and color sharpness by using a noncontact heating and fixing device, by specifying the relation of the toner used and the additive added to the toner. SOLUTION: The toner and the additive added to the toner are prepared to satisfy the relation ofΣ(x.D.ρt )/(4d.ρa )<60. In the formula, x is the amt. (pts.wt.) of the additive to 100 pts.wt. of the toner amt., D is the toner particle size,ρt is the absolute specific gravity of the toner, d is the particle size of the additive, andρa is the absolute specific gravity of the additive. In this method, materials to be used are not limited and any well-known materials can be used as far as they satisfy the relation above described. As for the binder resin, a polyester resin and an epoxypolyol resin are preferable considering the production process and the like. As for the coloring agent, all well- known dyes and pigments can be used. If necessary, the toner may contain a charge controlling agent.</p> |
