METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTHENTICATING USER AND PAYMENT IN INTERNET

A system for authenticating a user and payment over the internet and a method thereof are provided to approve usage of a content service by simply checking whether a user pays a fee according to usage of the content service via a host computer of an affiliated store. A method for authenticating a user and payment over the internet comprises the following several steps. An authentication system processes data received from a user computer, a host computer of an affiliated store, and a host computer of a content provider and stores the processed data at a database(S200). The authentication system constructs a content web page for enabling a user to request usage of the content service provided by the host computer of the content provider(S202). If the user requests the usage of the content service, the system transmits a user confirmation message to the host computer of the affiliated store wherein the message is for authenticating the user(S204,S206). The system receives a user authentication message from the host computer of the affiliated store in response to the requested user confirmation message(S210,S212). The system transmits a payment confirmation message to the host computer of the affiliated store(S214). The system provides the content service for the user computer if the system receives a payment authentication message from the host computer of the affiliated store in response to the requested payment confirmation message(S218).
