Method for level adjustment for a motor vehicle

The method involves detecting a level of a vehicle structure and exerting adjusting-forces on the vehicle structure, which depends on the level to reach a defined level. A small damping force is pointed in direction of level, and a large damping force effective in opposite direction, are adjusted on the basis of the defined level of suspension movement of the vehicle structure. The vehicle structure is moved in the defined level on the basis of the alternating damping force adjustment in the vibration damping operation.
