A system for measuring automatically weight of a traveling vehicle is provided to enhance traveling safety by checking overload of vehicles based on measurement of weight and volume of the vehicles. A system for measuring automatically weight of a traveling vehicle includes a vehicle detector(110), a vehicle passing detector(120), a weight detector(130), a camera(140), a display unit(150), and a controller. The vehicle detector detects vehicles approaching. The vehicle passing detector detects the vehicles passing. The weight detector includes at least one detecting sensors, which output a detection signal according to speed and weight of the detected vehicles through the vehicle ingoing detector. The camera photographs the vehicles approaching. The display unit displays whether the vehicles are overloaded. The controller controls overall system, calculates weight according to the speed of traveling vehicles using the detection signal from the weight detector, determines overload of the vehicles, and outputs a warning message to the display unit.
