A duct connecting an air intake opening in the cavity of a microwave oven and a cooling fan in the electric part compartment is provided to prevent malfunction of a microwave oven caused by the infiltration of moisture or hot steam generated in the cavity to the electric part compartment and to supply fresh air to the cavity directly without passing though the electric part compartment. A microwave oven having a duct(150) which is connecting an air intake opening(130) of a cavity and a cooling fan(135) of an electric part compartment includes a electric part compartment where a cooling fan is installed in between an outer case(110) and an inner case to intake air, a cavity which is arranged inside of the inner case with an air intake opening at a side of the cavity to be connected to the electric part compartment, and a duct which is connected to the intake opening at an end and to the cooling fan at the other end.
