A composite catalyst for manufacturing acrylic acid and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve catalytic activity, selectivity for acrylic acid selectivity, and yield, by using cobalt-molybdate as a carrier material. A composite catalyst for manufacturing acrylic acid comprises a cobalt-molybdate carrier, and an oxide catalyst supported on the carrier. The oxide catalyst includes molybdenum, vanadium, tellurium, and niobium, wherein the oxide catalyst is represented by a chemical formula of Mo1.0VaTebNbcOn. In the chemical formula, a, b, c and n are atomic mole ratios of vanadium, tellurium, niobium, and oxygen, wherein a is a number of 0.01 to 1, b is a number of 0.01 to 1, c is a number of 0.01 to 1, and n is a number determined according to atomic valences and weights of the other atoms. The 5-30 wt.% of cobalt molybdate carrier is contained in the 100 wt.% of composite catalyst. |
