An oil recovery device for a centrifugal compressor is provided to recover oil remaining in an outlet pipe to an oil tank by oil pressure and difference of positions when an opening degree of an inlet guide vane is lower than a set degree. An oil recovery device for a centrifugal compressor includes a honeycomb(30) mounted in an outlet pipe(26) of a housing(12) to block an inside of the housing. An oil storing element(32) is communicated to a bottom surface of the outlet pipe at a side of the honeycomb. An oil recovery pipe(36) is connected to the oil storing element and an oil tank(24) and has a control valve(34). A control part(38) is connected to the control valve and an inlet guide vane(40) by signals respectively, so that the control part opens the control valve to recover oil, which is not recovered from the outlet pipe and remaining in the outlet pipe, to the oil tank via the oil recovery pipe in the case of low load operation. The control part determines the low load operation if an opening degree value of an inlet guide vane(40), which controls a refrigerant introduction amount, is lower than a set value. |
