A noise-reducing type microwave oven is provided to reduce noise and power consumption of a fan motor by controlling an operation of the fan motor according to an operation of a thermostat. A noise-reducing type microwave oven includes a fan motor(20) in order to radiate heat generated by a magnetron(30). The fan motor is turned on/off according to an operation of the magnetron. The noise-reducing type microwave oven further includes a fan motor control unit(40) for sensing temperature of the fan motor in order to operate the fan motor, when the temperature of the fan motor approaches a set value. The fan motor control unit includes a normal open type thermostat. The set value of the temperature of the fan motor is 150 degrees centigrade. The fan motor control unit is installed at the magnetron. |
