A hermetic compressor and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to manufacture endrings through forging to prevent generation of bubbles in the endrings, make the endrings of copper having conductivity higher than aluminum to improve the efficiency of a compressor, and prevent the endrings from being scrapped even through inferiority is generated in a die casting process. A hermetic compressor includes a stator and a rotator(32) rotated through reaction with the stator electromagnetically. The rotator includes a rotator core(40) formed by accumulating a plurality of iron plates, a corporate body(45) integrated with the rotator core through aluminum die casting, and at least one endring(50) formed separatedly from the corporate body to be combined with the corporate body. The corporate body includes a plurality of engaging protrusions(46) protruded to one side. The endring includes insertion holes(51) to insert the plurality of coupling protrusions.
