An image display device with a time shift function and a reproduction method thereof are provided to enable a user to store a channel by using a time shift function and watch the other channel in real time when broadcasting programs are broadcast through different channels at the same time zone to satisfy a viewer's desire and improve convenience. A reproduction method for an image display device comprises the following steps of: storing a currently watching broadcasting signal to a storage unit; determining whether a time shift retaining function is set to a currently watching channel when there is a change of a channel(S220); and controlling the storage and change of the currently watching channel according to whether the time shift retaining function is set(S230~S270). |
