A plasma display apparatus is provided to reduce cost for elements by using one driving unit for commonly controlling an energy recovering circuit and at least one voltage supplying units. A plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel, an energy recovering circuit(400), voltage supplying units(410,430), and a driving unit(420). The plasma display panel includes scan electrodes. The energy recovering circuit supplies/recovers energy to/from the scan electrodes. The voltage supplying units supplies a driving voltage including scan and scan reference voltages to the scan electrodes. The driving unit controls output of the energy and the driving voltage commonly.
