A car stereo system is provided to improve driving safety and display character message information from a mobile communication terminal by having a UWB(ultra-wideband) module receiving the character message information. A car stereo system comprises a UWB module(120), a control module(110), and a display module(130). The UWB(Ultra-WideBand) module receives character message information from a mobile communication terminal by communicating with the mobile communication terminal in a UWB method. The control module controls the UWB module to receive the character message information from the mobile communication terminal. The display module outputs the character message information received by control of the control module.
