A 6-speed power train for an automatic transmission of a vehicle is provided to improve a driving performance by optimizing a shift ratio and arranging brakes and clutches properly. A first planetary gear set(PG1) includes a first operation element(S1) operating as an input element, second and third operation elements(R1,PC1) operating as a stationary/output element, and a fourth operation element operating as an stationary element. A second planetary gear set(PG2) includes a first operation element(S3) coupled to the second and third operation elements, a second operation element(R2) operating as an output element, and a third operation element(PC3) coupled to the third operating element of the first planetary gear set. A clutch member has four clutches(C1 to C4) interposed between the first and second planetary gears. A brake member has brakes(B1,B2) connecting two operation elements of the first planetary gear set with a transmission housing.
