An apparatus and a method for putting paper money in a safe from the outside are provided to put a bundle of paper money from the automatic paper money classifying/calculating/bundling machine in a safe automatically by modulating a horizontal conveyor and a vertical conveyor. An apparatus for putting a bundle of paper money in a safe(100) includes a case(1) opened forward, a first door(2) having a locking device fixed to the front of a frame(F) operating in a cassette type through the open front of the case and loaded with a modulated vertical conveyor(300) and locking/unlocking the case while covering the front of the case, a second door(3) having a locking device equipped with a modulated horizontal conveyor(200) to open and close the lower part of the front of the case in a hinge type and to lock/unlock the first door, and a paper money storage box(400) detachably mounted in the frame.
