A structure of a stereo optical engine for projection is provided to easily adjust the light of a light source by illuminating the images generated by two DLPs(Digital Light Processor) on one screen. A structure of a stereo optical engine for projection includes a prism(5), a first polarizing beam splitter(11), color wheels(17,19), DLPs(21,23), a second polarizing beam splitter(29), a lens(31), and a stereo screen(33). Collected light(7) passed through the prism is reflected by a mirror(9), and is divided into two by the first polarizing beam splitter. Perpendicular light(13) divided by the first polarizing beam splitter is reflected and horizontal light is transmitted and divided. The perpendicular and the horizontal lights are transmitted to the right and the left DLPs through the color wheels, and are combined into one stereo image by the second polarizing beam splitter to be projected on the stereo screen through the lens.
