An icon direct indication-type remote controller and a multimedia reproducer linked with the remote controller are provided to transmit/receive infrared signals in accordance with each intrinsic frequency while infrared transmitters and receivers are equipped in remote controller and reproducer bodies, and to immediately check an indicated icon based on a phase difference in accordance with movement of a body of the remote controller, thereby increasing convenience and efficiency. A remote controller body(400) is equipped with right, left, upper, and lower transmitters(410,415,420,425) for individually transmitting infrared signals of different frequencies indicative of right, left, upper, and lower directions on right, left, upper, and lower sides. A body of a multimedia player(300) is equipped with right, left, upper, and lower receivers(310,315,320,325) for selectively receiving the infrared signals only received from the transmitters(410,415,420,425). |
