A device and a method for controlling a roaster are provided to cook different foods with optimized condition automatically according to a set program in a program storing unit. A controller of a roaster(100) comprises a power switch(102), a touch screen(106), a timer(108), a data storing unit(114), an output unit(116), a comparing unit(118), an alarm(110), a control unit(120), and a program storing unit(112). The touch screen displays foods to be roasted and roasting state. The data storing unit memorizes a kind of food, temperature of charcoal fire for different kinds of foods, and cooking time. The output unit calculates cooking time by considering temperature of charcoal fire and cooking time. The comparing unit compares set cooking time from the output unit to present cooking time from the timer. The alarm generates sound when present cooking time is the same or over the set cooking time. The control unit calculates present cooking time and controls a first and a second transferring unit. The controller is fixed at one side of a frame by a fixing unit. |
