The set has two assemblies of prosthetic femoral rods without fixation of orthopedic cement e.g. poly methyl methacrylate cement, and with cemented fixation, respectively, where each assembly includes rods of discrete sizes. The rods include medullar parts, where respective ratios of different sizes of one rod between two successive sizes of rods belonging to the same assembly are constant. The medullar part (2) of the rod with a specific size has length and overall profile which are identical to that of the medullar part of the another rod with another specific size.
