A paste composition for forming an electrode and a plasma display panel including an electrode manufactured therefrom are provided to show excellent black degree and electroconductivity for manufacturing an electrode with higher discharge voltage. A paste composition for forming an electrode comprises (a) 30-90 wt% of conductive powder, (b) 1-20 wt% of glass frits having a transmissivity not greater than 65% at a wavelength range of 550nm, and a degree of crystallinity of 5-80% at a temperature of 400-700 deg.C (c) 1-20 wt% of organic binders and (d) 1-68 wt% of solvents. In the paste composition, the conductive powder is any one selected from gold, silver, copper, nickel, palladium, platinum and aluminum and alloy powder thereof. The paste composition further comprises 1-20 parts by weight of black pigments with respect to 100 parts by weight of the composition.
