A system and a method for separating carbon nanotubes using an induced current are provided to separate conductive carbon nanotubes from semiconductive carbon nanotubes effectively. A system for separating carbon nanotubes using an induced current includes: a transfer unit(110) which is supplied with mixed carbon nanotubes and transfer fluid; a magnetic field-generating unit(120) which comprises many electromagnet groups connected to one another in a row direction and forms a magnetic field in a partial region of the transfer unit; an alternating current-applying unit(130) which applies an alternating current to the magnetic field-generating unit to form a floating magnetic field in the partial region; a control unit(140) which controls operations of the elements(120,130); and a power supply unit(150) which supplies an electric power source necessary for operations.
