THE ALAM SYSTEM USING VOICE MESSAGE IN MAIN CONTROL ROOM OF NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS

An alarm system using a voice message in a main control room of nuclear power plants is provided to inform major alarms to the main control room or a work control room through voice, by using a character recognition system or a digital voice message converter. A main control room character alarm monitor(10) is installed in a main control room of the nuclear power plants, and informs every situation in the power plants. A camera(20) recognizes and photographs character information displayed through the monitor. A character recognition system(30) is connected to the camera, and reads out characters from a transmitted image using an optical character decoding algorithm. An alarm transmission controller(40) detects characters belonging to a specific group requiring voice alarming. A digital voice message converter(50) receives the detection data from the alarm transmission controller and converts the character information into voice information. A broadcasting system(60) amplifies and transmits and controls voice data converted through the digital voice message converter. A speaker(62) is connected to the main control room, and outputs the voice to the main control room.
