A method for changing a mode of a digital door lock is provided to enhance user convenience by enabling a user to easily change the mode by pushing buttons on a keypad without dissembling a case from a door lock body. A digital door lock includes an internal mode change switch and an outer mode change switch, which are arranged on inner and outer door lock bodies(10,20), respectively. A mode input button is arranged on the outer door lock body and mode data is preset on a controller(12). For an auto-lock mode, a first number button is set as the mode input button. In the auto-lock mode, a door lock(11) is automatically locked after a locker door is closed. For a manual lock mode, a second number button is set as the mode input button. For an etiquette mode, a third number button is set as the mode input button. For a temporary stoppage mode, a fourth number button is set as the mode input button.
