A method of removing a plastic covering from a metal structure is based on the difference in the coefficients of elasticity of metal (2) and plastic (3), during expansion and/or contraction of the internal structure. Preferred Process: The internal structure is expanded by applying gas pressure or using an inflating liquid. Contraction is induced by application of reduced pressure, forming a vacuum inside. The structure is exposed internally to very low temperature, during contraction. |
