A DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) terminal for sharing traffic information and a method thereof are provided to share traffic information with other terminals through a broadcasting network and transmit only minimized need information, thereby receiving need information without a broadcasting reception function and broadcasting a data decoding function in the terminal and effectively using resources. A DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) terminal for sharing traffic information includes a DMB module(110), a traffic data decoding unit(130), a traffic information managing unit(140), a communication module(120), a slave registration unit(150), a traffic information output unit(160), and a traffic information transmitting unit(170). The DMB module receives digital multimedia broadcasting data. The traffic data decoding unit decodes traffic data. The traffic information managing unit classifies the decoded traffic information according to kinds of traffic information and stores the classified traffic information. The communication module communicates with a slave terminal.
