#CMT# #/CMT# The system has markers placed near special points of a traffic network and each with an emitter transmitting a single identifier of the marker from a memory to a mobile phone (2). The phone has an application to store a destination and calculate an information message from the identifier, another identifier received before the former identifier, the destination and a database stored in a local memory. The database comprises different information parameters for bifurcations associated to one of the points, where one of the parameters is selected by the application based on the destination. #CMT# : #/CMT# The markers are of Bluetooth electronic chips and operate via batteries. The application is developed under Symbian operating system(RTM: Open standard operating system for data enabled mobile phones). #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for guiding a pedestrian e.g. blind, partially sighted person or tourist, from a metro station to his/her final destination by transmitting a visual symbol or voice message to a mobile phone (claimed) of the pedestrian. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The application calculates a path to be indicated to the pedestrian in real time, thus ensuring a better guidance to the pedestrian such as blind, from the metro station to his/her final destination in a simple and comfortable manner, while requiring limited memory resources, and hence improving the autonomy of the pedestrian. The markers consume less energy for their operation in order to ensure a satisfactory life duration. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a functional diagram of a pedestrian guiding system.`(Drawing includes non-English language text)` 2 : Mobile phone.
|
