<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor that enables to calculate accurate gamma characteristics by calculating an accurate interpolation point regarding a detection value of toner density with respect to some gradations, and its gamma correction device and gamma correction method. <P>SOLUTION: The gamma correction device 300 executes gamma-characteristics correction in an image forming device 10. In regard to a sampling point that gives a sensor value with respect to a plurality of gradations for gamma correction; a first outer product of the first/second vectors and a second outer product of second/third vectors are taken regarding four sampling points arranged in turn from a lower gradation, so as to calculate the interpolation point P1 corresponding to the directions of the outer products. The interpolation points P1 are calculated on all of the sampling points. The gamma correction is executed by calculating interpolation points on all of the gradations while using the interpolation points P1 as new sampling points. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
