<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas oil composition excellent in life cycle CO<SB>2</SB>exhaust characteristics and in oxidation stability, low temperature startability and low temperature flowability. <P>SOLUTION: This gas oil composition having a 90% distillation temperature of≤360°C, a total aromatic content of≤15 vol.%, a cetane index of≥45, a sulfur content of≤1 mass ppm, an oxygen content of≤1 mass%, a triglyceride content of≤0.01 mass%, an acid value of≤0.13 mgKOH, an acid value-increasing amount of 0.12 mgKOH/g after an oxidation stability test, a cloud filter plugging point (CFPP) of≤-5°C, a pour point (PP) of≤-10°C, and an isoparaffin/n-paraffin ratio of≥0.80 is produced by mixing a gas oil base material having an isoparaffin/n-paraffin ratio of≥0.2 and obtained by contacting animal or vegetable oils or fats and/or animal or vegetable fats or fats-originated components with a periodic table groups 6A and 8 element catalysts carried on a carrier containing crystalline molecular sieve in conditions comprising a hydrogen pressure of 2 to 13 MPa, a liquid space velocity of 0.1 to 3.0 h<SP>-1</SP>, a hydrogen oil ratio of 250 to 1,500 NL/L, and a temperature of 150 to 380°C, with a hydrogenated refined oil refined from crude oil or the like in a ratio of 30 to 50 vol.%:70 to 50 vol.%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
