PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data compression method, a data compressor, a computer program, and a recording medium for the computer program, which can save operation width h required when computing even if data to be compressed become large and sequence length g becomes long, by making a value C of a joint of Pascal's triangle formed in a conversion table as a data structure a value C' expressed with a number containing 1 only in a predetermined high-order digit by binary digit representation; reduce the scale of the compressor, and also reduce computing loads. SOLUTION: In this data compression method, a value C of a joint of Pascal's triangle formed in a conversion table as a data structure is made a value C' expressed by a number containing 1 only in a predetermined high-order digit by binary digit representation.
