PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain write performance so that a data write time becomes the shortest by minimizing temporary stop of data write when buffer underrun is caused. SOLUTION: When data write speed is changed during recording of data, a system controller 17 temporarily stops writing of data by a pause/re-start controller 15, and after write speed is changed by a write speed controller 18, the writing of data is re-started while keeping continuity of data.
